چکیده
Glucose oxidase (GOx) is an enzyme frequently used in glucose biosensors. As increased temperatures can enhance the performance of electrochemical sensors, we investigated impact temperature pulses on GOx that was drop-coated flattened Pt microwires. The wires were heated by alternating current. sensitivity towards and stability amperometry. An up to 22-fold increase observed. Spatially resolved activity changes via scanning microscopy. application short (<100 ms) heat associated with less thermal inactivation immobilized than long-term heating.

Imaging Glucose Oxidase by Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy
Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy is a tool for imaging and investigate surfaces by meaning of chemical reactivity, electric conductivity, and enzymatic activity. This technique is typical electrochemical cell plus three axis positioner. Positioner allows to measure typical electrochemical measurements, like Cyclic Voltammetry, Chronoamperometry, Impedance Spectroscopy, etc. in the vicinity o...
متن کاملScanning electrochemical microscopy. 41. Theory and characterization of ring electrodes.
Ring ultramicroelectrodes, which are of particular interest as probes for scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM), combined with near-field scanning optical microscopy, were investigated. Theoretical SECM tip current-distance (approach) curves for a ring electrode were calculated by numerical (finite element) analysis. The SECM curves obtained were a function of the geometry of the tips incl...
متن کاملScanning electrochemical microscopy. 55. Fabrication and characterization of micropipet probes.
The fabrication and characterization of novel micropipet probes for use in scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) are described. These can be used to dispense small (pL) amounts of a solution while monitoring the electrochemical response at a substrate and at a ring electrode tip on the micropipet probe. The probes were constructed by insulating gold-coated borosilicate micropipets with ele...
متن کاملElectrochemical Size Measurement and Characterization of Electrodeposited Platinum Nanoparticles at Nanometer Resolution with Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy.
The properties of nanoparticles (NPs) are determined by their size and geometric structures. A reliable determination of NP dimension is critical for understanding their physical and chemical properties, but sizing ultrasmall particles on the order of nanometer (nm) scale in the solution is still challenging. Here, we report the size measurement of PtNP at nanometer resolution by in situ scanni...
